The Bear Trail in Asturias is an excellent destination for traveling by motorhome or camper. Overnight parking is allowed in most of its parking lots, and there are free areas. Main points include Entrago and La Plaza (both in Teverga), the surroundings of the Valdemurio Reservoir (Quirós), and Tuñón or Buyera (Santo Adriano).
🚐 Main Overnight Zones and Free Areas
Entrago Area (Teverga)
Just a few meters from the start of the trail at its highest point. It is a public area with specific spots for motorhomes and greywater disposal services (sometimes unavailable, we recommend checking updated status). It is the key point to park and start the route downhill.
La Plaza Area (Teverga)
Located just 1 km from the Entrago parking lot. It is one of the main areas in the region and periodically offers filling and disposal services. Extremely convenient as it is located in the municipal capital.
Tuñón Parking (Santo Adriano)
At the lowest point (the official zero kilometer of the greenway). It is a large public parking lot where motorhome overnight stays are allowed. It is next to the bike rental area and is frequented by motorhome travelers who prefer to start the route uphill.
Buyera Recreational Area (Santo Adriano)
A spacious parking area surrounded by raw nature. It is located very close to the enclosure where the bears (Paca and Molina) live, making it a popular and very quiet option to wake up next to the Cantabrian brown bear.
Valdemurio Reservoir (Quirós)
Parking allowed near the lake. Beyond its enormous beauty and tranquility, ideal for disconnecting and staying overnight, it is frequented by those who decide to explore the Quirós branch of the trail.
⚠️ Important Recommendations
- Overnight parking is allowed, but camping is not: According to regional regulations, you can sleep inside your vehicle, but you cannot deploy external elements such as chairs, tables, clotheslines, or awnings in the parking lots.
- Free zones: All these areas are usually free for use and overnight stays throughout the year.
- Cycling strategy: The Entrago area is the strategic and main point to start the route by bicycle, descending and using the return shuttle service.

- Filling and Disposal: Mainly available in the conditioned areas of Teverga.
- Supplies: In San Martín de Teverga, Entrago, and Proaza you will find restaurants and supermarkets easily accessible from your parking spot.
